Windows Media Player 10 gives you more music and more choices, and for the first time makes it possible to sync high-quality music, video, and photos to the latest portable devices.

Windows Media Player (WMP) is a digital media player and media library application developed by Microsoft that is used for playing audio, video and viewing images on personal computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system, as well as on Pocket PC and Windows Mobile-based devices.

Windows Media Player replaced an earlier piece of software simply called Media Player, adding features beyond simple video or audio playback.

Internet Explorer

Right-click (or click and hold) on the hyperlink provided for PowerPoint and select "Save Target As..." from the right-click menu. Then, choose a place to save the PowerPoint file on your computer, and return to that place to o pen the file.


(If you click on a presentation in Internet Explorer and have the PowerPoint plugin installed, IE will open the PowerPoint presentation in your browser. You'll need to use "Save Target As..." to save the file to your machine, but you can view the presentation in your browser if you want to preview it first.)

Netscape Navigator

Click on the link provided. You will be prompted to save the presentation to file or to open the file. Choose to save the file to your disk (computer). Choose a place to save the file, and return to that place and open the file after the download is complete.

The downloading process is different across browsers.

Internet Explorer

Right-click on the hyperlink for the PowerPoint download and select "Save Target As..." from the right-click menu. Then, choose a place to save the PowerPoint file on your computer, and return to that place to open the file.


Netscape Navigator (or Mozilla)

Simply click on the link. You will be prompted to save to file or to open file. Choose to save the file to your disk (computer). Choose a place to save the file, and return to that place and open the file.

In PowerPoint, the presentation will automatically open to the first slide of the presentation.

To view the presentation in the "Slide Show" mode, move the mouse to the "Slide Show" drop-down menu at the top of the screen and click on "View Show." A mouse click anywhere on the screen will then advance the presentation.

 

Instructions for viewing PowerPoint Slides

To view the Powerpoint slides on our own computer you will need to have Microsoft Powerpoint, or you can download the PowerPoint Viewer directly from the Microsoft Office web site.

If you don't have Microsoft PowerPoint on your computer, you can download a free PowerPoint viewer which will allow you to view the presentations.
